Subject: What Is A Good Ram for AMD?

I need some suggestions for a good model of ram for my build. I have the B450M Pro4 board with a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU. I want 8gb in duel channel. But here's the thing....I need a module that is sort of low profile because space is tight between the back end of my hard drive and the DIMM slots. Many of the ram modules on the QVL have really big spreaders or heat sink on the top. What I have now is the G.Skill Aegis. This module just has a plain top. That's the main reason I bought it, not because it was cheap. But its Intel-spec. The G.Skill Fortis looks like it'll be too big.
Any opinion on this one by Crucial: CT2K4G4DFS632A
Any others that have XMP profile and work well with this board/CPU?

crucial ballistix
the older type with little open topped heatspreaders not the newer ones with big enclosed sides and top should do
either way the ram seems to like the b450m pro4 i know three systems all working well with 3200 xmp
heres a link to the style with the low profile spreader

p.s. i do suggest while buying ram at this moment in time
to dig down the back of the sofa and empty out the kids piggy banks and find the extra few coins for a 16gb kit (2x8gb) to allow you to fit and forget for quite a few years of ever increasing windows and games and office programs needs

That one does look fairly low in profile. But most kits are out of stock. I do see one showing in stock that is 2x 4gb: Sport LT 8gb
But its the same 2400 speed. Any others perhaps?

That is the one I mentioned with a link in my last reply. Except the 2400 version, 8gb total, sold thru Newegg here in the States. So I know that one is available.
I don't really think I need 16gb of ram.

this is the problem buyers of 8gb (2x4) dont usually want to spend too much money
so would settle for 2133/2400 kits (just to get it working on 8gb)
buyers of 3200mhz ram are usually looking for max frames in games and would only be buying 16+gb
soooooooo
far far less 3200mhz+ 8gb ram kits for sale due to lack of demand
not to say you cant get them , just stocks and choices are far less
for what in effect should be a quite modest increase of the build cost i still would recommend 16gb , and in a few years you would see the wisdom of the extra cash now

Personally I use Team Group Vulcan memory. Haven't had any issues out of it, the XMP profile set without issue as well. I'm running a 16GB Kit (2x8GB).
TLZGD416G3000HC16CDC01 is the exact kit I have.

thinking out the box
can you not relocate the hdd ?
or use a 2.5 inch ssd (which are falling down in price like a cliff drop these days)

X470 Taichi with 3950x and I have excellent results with Team Group Dark Pro. Rock solid. Have 4x8Gb installed. No power-sucking RGB :D

I understand. That makes sense (the lack of demand for 8gb high speed).
As for relocating the drive, I could possibly do that if I buy a bracket to mount it in a 5.25 bay. As for getting a 2.5 SSD, well I'd rather not right now. The 2tb drive is only half full & 3 years old, so it still has some good life left. Once I get near filling it, I would have to think about a new drive.

I think that one might fit. It does not look like the spreader is much above the board, and the specs on it say the height is 32mm or 1.259 inch. I believe my G.Skill is 1.25 inches. There's another related model listed which does not look like it has a spreader: T-Force T-1 Would that one work well with an AMD system as well?
