Hi All,
I have the Deskmini 310. Installed the drivers from the CD that came with the product. I am trying to use a headset (pair of headphones with a mic attached to it, commonly used on cellphones). The mic is registering (sound bar moves as I talk, and I can hear my echo) when I do tests in Discord, Zoom, and the Sound Panel for mic testing, but when I actually try to talk, nobody can hear me.
I emailed Asrock and the tech support dude's response was literally this format: You need to get this splitter [inserts image of a splitter with no brand name or model name].
Not only does it not have any form of identifying the splitter, the splitter has 2 female connections and 1 male connection, which makes it the wrong kind of splitter for what I'm trying to do. If it's not clear, please let me know. Any help is appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Update: Tech support emailed me back. They told me to "[c]ontact the seller and return it."
Update 2: I found out that the 310 barebones does not have an on-board sound card.
This thread can be closed. But I'm very down for discussing the support's response, if anybody would like to address this. I find it very 'not customer friendly' to say the least.

Update 3: The dude who told me to return the product emailed me again, saying that I need the headset that has both mic and audio jacks. Honestly, I didn't even think they made those anymore but I suppose going barebones with no sound card, it makes sense. I appreciate his response as it was definitely on-point.
