I am only using the 3 pin 5V header on my Phantom Gaming 4.
The led turns on fine ,changes colour etc.
BUT !!! In the Polychrome app I cannot control through ADD RGB.
It will control them through RGB header 1 ????!!!!
Again I have NOTHING plugged into Header 1 or 2 on board.
I am using Compatible 3 pin 5v led. And only have ADD RGB Header used !!
Please help !!

Dear Meta,

Thanks for posting your query.

Could you kindly provide the full model name of the motherboard for us to check?

Also, please let us know the utility version that you have.

With thanks,

Z390 Phantom Gaming 4
Part #   90-MXB8X0-A0UAYZ
Polychrome 1.0.64

Again I am only using 3 pin header--But in program RGB header 1 will turn off all led.
I am NOT using Header 1 or 2.
Also ADD RGB will not properly control lights.

Dear Meta,

Thanks for the reply.

Please make sure that there are no other third-party tools/drivers related to RGB installed to the system. If there are other utilities please uninstall them.

If the problem persists, please try:
Step 1. Uninstall the ASRock polychrome utility.
Step 2. Restart the system.
Step 3. Install the ASRock polychrome utility.
Step 4. Restart the system.
Step 5. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ASRock Utility\ASRRGBLED\Bin
Step 6. Execute the"WriteFW.bat"

Steps above will allow users to flash the RGB firmware manually.
Kindly check if the RGB can work properly.

If the problem persists, kindly clean install the Win10 and repeat from Step 1.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD

No I have not installed 3rd party software for this --as we all know there is no such thing !!!!!--Each is specific to manufacturer !!
I will flash the firmware tomorrow !!
If that does not work ..there is NO BLOODY WAY I am wiping my system to get this to work !!!!
My son has an ASUS board and the RGB is flawless in that one !!!
I have been reading to much in the forums of the issues with your RGB.,,If the flash does not work I will simply chalk it up to lesson learned in buying a poorly made Motherboard.
And I will just go to a different brand..this board is still under warranty, but even a new one will not solve the problem.
I should have done more research before my purchase--then I would have seen from the multiple problems that ASROCK is not a quality brand.

I have filled out your Support form 2 times now.
And still I have not been contacted about this issue.
That was a waste of my time.
Oct 2019 I bought this board, and from the start it has been troublesome..
