Purchased the X470 Taichi Ultimate(2700X) exclusively for the 10Gb Aquantia NIC. Finally have a 10Gb Switch but no Aquantia NIC, as it seems to have disappeared.

Device Manager -> Other Devices -> "Ethernet Controller" yellow tag.
Does not accept and Aquantia Drivers.
"Device DCI\VEN_1D6A&DEV_07B1&SUBSYS_0187106B&REV_02\6&19c17eff&0&0048020B requires further installation."

No matter how many times it is "Uninstalled Device", drives won't work.

This issue seems to be mentioned all over the internet forums and haven't seen a response that makes sense yet.

I can't remember when it disappeared, and would like to attribute it to the 3.1 upgrade, but have doubts it happened then, as usually verify that all devices are present.

ATTEMPTS:
Removed battery for an extended period, had high hopes, didn't work.

Downgrade     3.1 -> 2.0     BIOS refuses
Upgraded from 3.1 -> 3.2     Unsuccessful
Upgraded from 3.2 -> 3.3     Unsuccessful
3.3 -> 3.4                   No attempt. Asrock advises against for 2nd Gen.

Any ideas? Hard to believe the chip burnt up.

seems to be an issue with this NIC, not just ASRock mobos .. one person mentioned that NIC stops working when using pcie slots 2 and 4 .. dono if that will help you at all though.

Thanks, in frustration I decided to investigate and boot into a live version of Fedora. Of course ... that didn't work as there is a bug in the Fedora Live Installer, which is mentioned across the internet.

Then booted into live Ubuntu and low and behold, there is the Aquantia interface. Stopped there and went back to Windows.

So, I guess Windows 10 is not seeing it, some crazy bug.

Once again, thanks to the support of AsRock for responding in a timely matter, consistent with past support.
