Hi all, my hard drive died on me so I took the chance to upgrade to an M.2 but am having trouble installing Windows 10. It's a PCIe M.2 card gen 3x4, and it does seem to be recognised in the BIOS, but when I try to install Windows I get the warning "Windows cannot be installed on this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
My motherboard is a B365M pro4, bios version 4.20. Any ideas where I might be going wrong? Thanks

Some additional info -
This was when trying to install in Legacy mode, since when booting in UEFI I get all three of these in one go
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI system, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
Windows cannot be installed to the hard disk space. Windows must be installed to a partition formatted in NTFS
Windows cannot be installed on to this hard disk space. The partition is of an unrecognized type"
Tried formatting to ntfs via cmd and it fails. Tried converting to gpt via cmd and nothing seems to change except now the disk reads as having 0MB free space?

I've tried diskpart to do everything I can think of. Anything in particular you can suggest? And sorry could you explain "run from the prompt"? Thanks

In legacy mode if I delete the partition and try again, I get "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."
Could it be a bios setting I need to change?
