Hello I am having problems to use Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD tuner with J5005-ITX motherboard. Installation of the drivers of this TV tuner seems to finish, but the card is not starting. I am in contact with Hauppauge support to investigate the issue, but I would like to know if anybody tried this TV tuner in the past on J5005-ITX. I believe this TV tuner should work in a motherboard designed for media centers/HTPC. Thanks for a feedback.

Update: Hauppauge support says their tuner WinTV-quadHD is not compatible with J5005-ITX, without specifying in details the reason. I understand they cannot test all the motherboards, but I expected a TV tuner to be working with a motherboard designed for HTPC. On J5005-ITX, an old Hauppauge tuner works well (WinTV-HVR-1200), and the newest quadHD works well into another motherboard, so it seems a "un-fortunate" case of cross compatibility. I will ask Asrock support if they can investigate, but it will be very difficult to change the current situation, so I will probably return the card to Hauppauge.

Hi mditerli,
unfortunately, I've fallen down into the same troubles -- same to you, I cannot make Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD and J5005-ITX working together. :-( What a pity! The ideal solution for HTPC, however, currently two pieces of incompatible items. ;-(
Have you managed to make it work? Or, is there anybody with a piece of advice to solve this issue? Or can ASRock help, please?
Thanks a lot in advance! Tom.
