Hi all,
With the latest build 2004 of Windows 10x64, any attempt to update or install any version of the drivers for my RX580 (4GB) card will cause windows to freeze requiring a hard reset. The same hardware ran fine under Windows 7x64, so it is not a hardware issue. Found same issues with a HD7770 card. SO it is a Windows 10 and AMD graphics card.
At the moment I am stuck with the default Windows 10 detected drivers. Even running a "scan for hardware changes" under Windows 10 would cause it to freeze. This issue existed with older builds of Windows 10 (eg 1903 or 1909).
Help! Anyone?
Hardware: Asrock Z87 Extreme 6 M/B latest beta BIOS Sapphire RX580 4GB Windows 10 b2004

Hi all,
Through a bunch of Windows 10 installations on this Z87 Extreme6 mainboard, I can say that this mainboard is cr*p when it come to Windows 10 from versions 1903 to 2004.
It even locks up when I just did a "Scan for hardware changes" under the Device Manager. The system was stripped down to just the 2 memory modules using the onboard VGA chip.
What a disappointment from such a good specs board! But it does not work with Windows 10.

FYI I'm seeing similar issues with a Z87 Extreme9/ac motherboard without an AMD GPU (have a Titan RTX). Mine are mostly in the form of BSODs where the dump points to ntoskrnl.exe and general issues with programs like Google Chrome giving arbitrary errors.
I went through doing a fresh install and upgraded all of the drivers and still seeing the issues so I'm guessing it's chipset related.

Knocking on wood... Since upgrading to the latest beta BIOS all of my issues seem to be gone.
