Notice my power slow blinking at night (I sleep with it). I let my computer run 24/7 and just turn the display off. I built this computer with a H270M Pro4 but I suspect my question is motherboard generic. Now I have been very observant and noticed that most status lights go off when computers are powered off and light when powered on. But what would cause them to start a rhythmic off-on sequence which does return to steady on if I turn my display on.

Me bad, slow in figuring this out by myself..... Power light blinks if the computer is allowed to sleep. I am of the old school that discovered hard drives lasted all most forever if you did not turn them on an off. Many argue that is no longer true because of improvements in transformers power regulation circuits but hard to change. Sleep got turned on accidentally on a recent Windows upgrade - it is back off.
