Hello, I bought the specified motherboard as well as the rest of the PC recently and I'm encountering some issues. I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu, an antec 650w 80 plus bronze psu with a pretty old power cord so there's a possibility that's the problem but I'm not sure.
Anyway, when I turn on the PC I can see red lights all around the chipset and it automatically shuts off after about 10 seconds of running, turns back on after about a second and repeats the process. Monitor shows black screen.
I assumed the problem was with the power supply but I checked all the connections and they seemed fine, all the cables are firmly in the right slots, and the power cord issue seems like a bit of a reach considering the red light as well as the fact that it technically does turn on.
Soo... what do I do? Thanks in advance.

Please list your full specs:
CPU RAM (model number and brand) GPU PSU any M.2 storage you may have
It is common with AM4 systems for the first POST to take a while with several power cycles occurring while the system "trains" the RAM. Leave the system powered on for 5 mins or so and see if it eventually outputs a display. Once it has, it will POST more normally from that point onward.
The red LEDs are just the board's RGB lighting, they are typically set to red by default. This is not an indication of an issue.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 2 sticks - Kingston KVR26N19S8/8 8GB 2666MHZ - installed into slots 2 and 4 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1650 super PSU: ANTEC PSU 650W Neo Eco Modular 80+ SSD: SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB SDSSDA-240G-G26
And thank you, I'll try that, I thought the red light thing indicated a problem. Is there a way to change the light colour to something less... Intimidating? If it does end up working?

Hello again, it's been 30 minutes but it still isn't showing anything on the display and it keeps powering on and off. Is it relevant that I'm using a TV and connecting it via HDMI and not the regular fat cable? I tried connecting to both the graphics card and the motherboard but there's no change.

First make sure all power cables are connected properly both at the motherboard end and at the power supply end (also do not forget to hook up the 8 pin CPU power connector to the board, very common mistake to forget that one). Also try to disconnect all the front port case headers including the USB ports from the motherboard and instead start up the system by shortening the power header connectors on the motherboard using a flat head screwdriver. If this works it is a possibility the chassi front panel I/O with all the cables going to the motherboard unit is broken and need to be re placed. (this is not too uncommon when installing new systems in old cases).

Checked the power cables, found that the 24 pin one was loose and got excited, but alas, that wasn't the problem.
I also noticed that the RAM sticks were in the wrong slots and fixed that which also didn't help.
And the case is brand new. It's an Antec NX210. I don't think that's the problem, but I'm also not sure how to do what you asked. Sorry, English isn't my native language so technical terms tend to fly over my head.

I just went through a similar issue with the Fatal1ty B450 K4 and a Ryzen 3400G. I even bought an Athlon 200G to troubleshoot with and system booted fine.
Resolved my issue by warranty swap of my CPU with AMD.

HI, can you please tell me what issue you went through with the 3400g? I have a similar issue with this CPU and the b450 fatal1ty gaming K4 where when I try to switch it on via the power button, nothing happens despite the red light on the board being on. I have to wait for like an hour or 1hr and a half if I am lucky and I try it again and it comes on. When I check the date, its like four hours late from real time. I have changed cmos battery but the problem persists.
