Subject: About A520m-itx ac FCLK issue

Hi, here's my PC:
Mobo: Asrock A520m-itx ac
CPU: AMD R5 4640g (APU)
Mem: Team DDR4-4000 (XMP)
I upgraded the Mobo BIOS from the stock version to V1.1, here's the link:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A520M-ITXac/index.asp#BIOS
I checked the CPU-Z RAM tab and found the North Bridge frequency is set to 1000Mhz automatically. I believe that 2000Mhz is the right velue, which is equal to the RAM frequecy. So I went to BIOS setup and tried to set the infinity fabric frequency to 2000 manually (it's auto by default) and saved seetings then quit, but CPU-Z told me that the NB frequency was still 1000Mhz.
So I went to BIOS setup again and loaded default UEFI settings and restored my RAM frequency to 2400Mhz (XMP disabled), and then checked CPU-Z again, now the NB frequency became 600Mhz.
My question is, my iGPU performance is significantly degraded by 10% after the BIOS V1.1 upgrade, and I imagine it's related to the abnormal NB frequency (or the FCLK frequency). How can I set it to be the same as the RAM frequency? Or else does the V1.1 BIOS has some kind of bug that will cut half the FCLK? If so, when can you fix this issue?
Thank you very much!

Sorry for the typo, the CPU is R5 4650g (Renoir APU).

what do you have the infinity fabric set to in the BIOS?

It's set to auto, and the memory is DDR4-4000(xmp). In CPU-Z memory tab, the north bridge frequency is 1000.
I found a new BIOS version was released:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/A520M-ITXac/index.asp#BIOS
The BIOS description says this version fixes fabric and NB frequency auto rule, however when I updated the BIOS to V1.2 and load UEFI setup to default, CPU-Z still shows the north frequency is 1000.
Seems the fix does not function.

Dear xplangchao,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

With the latest BIOS version, we have modified the DRAM auto rule.

When Memory Frequency >= DDR4-3600 Mhz, Fabric will be set as default 1800 and there will have below two scenarios:

(configuration 1) Memory Frequency and Fabric mclk is 1 : 1/2 , so NB frequency = 1/2 Memory Frequency.
Ex DDR4-3600 Mhz, Fabric =1800Mhz , NB = 900Mhz

(configuration 2) Memory Frequency and Fabric mclk is not 1 : 1/2 , so NB frequency = 1/4 Memory Frequency.
Ex DDR4-4000 Mhz, Fabric =1800Mhz , NB = 1000Mhz

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD
