I've tried 3 different graphics cards, USB3 card and others but I can't get any PCIe card to be recognized. I'm on BIOS 4.30 and have reset the BIOS settings but still nothing is detected. What drivers are responsible for the PCIe Slots so I can try reinstalling those? Thank you in advanced.

The PCIe lanes that feed the board's top 2 PCIe x16 slots come from the CPU.
You can try your GPU in the bottom most x16 slot, that one gets it's PCIe lanes from
the chipset. If that slot works then you either have a problem with your CPU or
the pins in your CPU socket.

Make sure your CPU is installed properly and isn't damaged (bent, warped etc) and
that you don't have any bent pins in the socket. If the socket and CPU both check
out fine I would recommend you RMA the CPU as it could be defective.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will try the bottom slot. I've had the board over a year now and the cpu
(9700k) hasn't come out of the socket since the day I built it. So I wouldn't think a pin would be bent, but I could be wrong it's my first complete build on my own.

Is it safe to say the Z390 family has almost reached "end of life" now that Z490 and 10th Gen CPUs are well established? This mobo hasn't received any updates in quite a while. Like I said, this is my first build so I'm not sure how long these continue to be updated.

Nope even the very bottom slot isn't seen by the PC. I know it's getting power because the GPU fan turns on when it's plugged into any of the slots, and that's before I plug in the 2 6 pin power cables. I have the primary graphics set to PCIe in the BIOS but under Device Manager in Win 10 all it sees is Intel UHD Graphics.

Not to change the topic, but since I'm stuck with only the igpu at the moment... How do I get a 3rd monitor to work with Intel UHD? It says it supports 3 monitors but the mobo only has an HDMI and Display Port for displays. I have a USB C to HDMI dongle but never had any luck with it.

Thanks.
