On my 880GM-LE the Athlon II X2 255 gives a message of ..._NO_SVM when trying to run virtualbox. Seems like I should have gone with intel. Any ideas? Disabling it in the bios gives ...SVM_DISABLED, so it is enabled.

Grab the V3 on the AMD page, or SecurAble version, enable Secure Virtual Machine in the BIOS, reboot and run the above tool.
Post back a screenshot of the tool if further problems.

I'm not using hyper v but that doesn't work either. It won't let me post the image. It just says No Hardware Virtualization.

By not using Hyper-V, do you mean you have it disabled or not installed at all? If you have it installed, but not disabled, try the first answer given here:

Thanks petrolhead. You must be from england. That's where our almost universal language came from. All programming is done in english. Uninstalling hyper v worked! I guess I have amd virtualization after all. Great machine I put together about 4 years ago. Never knew I'd use it to full potential. I really built it as an htpc. Don't asrock motherboards rock, genius?

Great to hear you have things under control there now.
I gave PetrolHead a "Thanks' on his post. tlukac, it'd be nice if you did too I'd imagine.

I'm glad to hear I was able to point you to the right direction. It was just a shot in the dark, really, since I've little personal experience on virtualization. But hey, even a broken clock is correct twice a day. ;)
P.S. I'm not from England, which I guess is just further proof of the universality of this language. :)

Boy! Someone here doesn't like accepting credit where credit is due.
