Hello,

I would like to know if the motherboard ASRock A520M-ITX can boot without any GPU or APU?
My goal is to replace my current NAS/VM setup hardware; which is already configured and accessible via GUI or SSH.

Best,
Mathieu

Dear Nabreus,
Thank you for your posting.

Just took our A520M-ITX/ac to test, the system can boot into Win 10 OS properly even without graphics card.
Please refer to our system configuration below:
Motherboard: A520M-ITX/ac
BIOS: P1.10
CPU: 3500
SSD: Samsung 750 EVO 120GB

Hope this information helps :)

Thank you,

Best wishes,
ASRock TSD

Hello everyone,

I recently installed Proxmox VE 8.4 on an SSD, and everything runs smoothly as long as I have a discrete GPU installed. However, when I remove the GPU and attempt to reboot, the system powers on - the fans spin, and the power LED is lit - but Proxmox does not boot. I can confirm this because the network interface does not light up and I can't connect to the Proxmox web GUI. When I reinstall the GPU, everything functions as expected again.

System Specs:
Motherboard: ASRock A520M-ITX/ac
BIOS Version: P3.40
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700
OS: Proxmox VE 8.4

I specifically chose this ASRock motherboard based on the response from official user "ASRock TSD", which indicated that it should be able to run an operating system without a GPU or APU.

Has anyone else encountered this issue, or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance!
