I have a x570 motherboard, I stole the legend and updated the bios to 3.31 because I bought a ryzen 5800x. After inserting the cpu into the board, it keeps restarting after a few seconds. No problems on the old 3200g cpu. What could be the reason?

Running the Steel Legend with the 3700x .. 3.30 and 3.31 were garbage with RAM timings and so reverted back to the 3.00 revision. That could be what is going on here.
Are you running 2 or 4 sticks of RAM? If 4, run just 2 and make sure they are in slots A2/B2 and see if it posts

Hello there,
Same problem. X570 Steel Legend rebooting every 10 seconds, not even showing POST, with a R7 5800X. It works well with a R5 2600.
Tried BIOS 3.31 and 3.32, also with 1, 2 and 4 sticks of RAM.

Install the 5800x then clear CMOS fully before powering on again. If that does not work then pull the power cord from the system, remove the CMOS battery and then press the power button and hold it down for 10 seconds. Leave the system like this for 10 mins to an hour and then put the battery back in and try again.

I did what you said : cleared CMOS, removed battery, pressed hold button for 1mn, waited for more than one hour without the battery, cleared CMOS again.
Problem is still here.

put the 2600 back in and flash to BIOS 3.30 and then try the 5800x.
I ran the 3700x on my (now my daughters) x570 Steel Legend and 3.31, and 3.32 had memory stability problems.. 3.30 was/is rock solid

Hey I'm having the exact same problem with an X570m Pro4 tried all different versions of the bios and still get stuck in a sumwhat boot cycle with no output to display when my 5800X if installed.
currently using the system with R5 2600
thought it might have something to do with https://download.asrock.com/TSD/Ryzen5000/X570M%20Pro4.pdf
although at step 5 rather than going through to the USB root. it frezes on a black screen for a sec then jumps streght back to the select boot drive screen
been trying to fix this for ages nothing seems to be working
I'm running Asrock X570m Pro4, RTX 3070, R7 5800X (atm i have a R5 2600 installed due to the problem)

Booting EFI from USB and flashing the .rom manually is the right procedure (did it on x570 Phantom Gaming-ITX w R. 2600 to R. 5600x), so either you just need to try som different sticks (can't remember if 2.0 vs 3.0 matters) and ports (not front panel!) and clear/reset cmos... or somethings dodgy with the actual board.
