I sent this Motherboard back for a RMA for the same reason I have again , I have fully loaded out the DIMM slots with GSKILL 2666 Memory , I'm using a I7 Extreme edition CPU 8 core , The issue is, when the DIMM slots are fully loaded the system will not come up with anything until after three tries than , it states the system has failed to boot three times than I can go into the BIOS , to change settings.

-The BIOS is 2.0 , this is ridiculous is this a defect with the board as i find it very ODD that I have the same issue, the Memory has been tested good and it is on the Support List , so my question is Memory supported or not , or is truly factory defect ...

-I need to know how to fix this.

Thank you.

mtg, most likely the IMC is choking at having eight sticks running 2666. This isn't surprising if you haven't made certain voltage increases in the BIOS, and even then the IMC may not respond to eight sticks at 2666.

What specific p/n is your single Kit of eight sticks ?

Can I assume these eight ran OK at their JEDEC Default of 2133 when installed???

Let me look, but somewhere off-site I read a post of X99's having issue with setting eight sticks at once using XMP Profiles and the poster said how he did finally get all eight running with XMP.

IIRC he only loaded four sticks, set XMP in the BIOS, Save and Exited, shut down and then installed the remaining four and presto.

And this description is exactly how your boards/BIOS built-in Boot Failure Guard(BFG)is supposed to function. By smartly recognizing that a component, here the CPU and or IMC, can not boot and run at the settings changes you've made and smartly adjusts/reverts those settings back to where it WILL boot. And magically it does boot, all w/o you intervening to be forced into a CMOS clearing for it to boot.

BFG is covered in your manual and many many places on the internet. Personally, I like it.

These are the reason(s) you got another board and it exhibits the same issue. It is not the board but instead the parts themselves that you bought then removed while you sent it in for RMA.

Again, not the board!

Yes, as said above, please give us the full model name, number, and total capacity of the G.SKILL memory you are using.

Also, what UEFI/BIOS version are you using in your board?

Parsec, it is the F4-266615Q-32GRR GKSILL Memory I bought two these for 64 GIGs fully populated.
