I've been a big fan of the Civilization series but the latest, VI, is just not right and I just can't stand any more.

I just finished assembling a new PC around an ASRock X570M Pro4 with a Ryzen 5600X and an NVidia 1650. Everything seems to be working perfectly. My old gaming system was a laptop with an i7 4700Q with a GeForce 750M. So I expect any strategy game will not be a problem at all for this new system and it could probably play shooters but those aren't really my thing.

Mainly looking for suggestions for excellent strategy gameplay against the AI instead of multiplayer (Nothing like EVE, etc).

yes you can play Crusader Kings III. I have been playing this game.
