TRX40 Creator with bios 1.7 and Threadripper 3960x.

Issue:
Bios screen is not showing on display.

The screen stays black during boot until Windows login screen appears.

I can hit F2 at the time when keyboard lights up. It seems the system is entering bios correctly but just not showing it on screen (led on mainboard shows A6 or Ab which indicates system is in bios).

I tried cmos reset etc.
I tried switching from DVI to HDMI
I tried different displays

Result is always the same. Asrock boot logo, and "enter bios message" are not showing up.

So, I now have a highend system which I canot adjust, because I cannot see the bios :-(

Any tip from the community available?

What video card are you running? For testing purposes, A) Do you have another video card you can test with? or B) Have you tried your video card in a different PCIe slot?

Thanks for chiming in:

I have two cards:
2080 Ti in slot 1 (x16)
Quadro RTX 4000 in slot 3 (x16)

I tried them both.

One or multiple displays attached to either of the cards. Result is always the same - black screen until Windows login.

.. and have you tried just one or the other card being installed by itself?

Nope, because it would mean to dismantle the watercooling.

It worked before the bios update, which indicates it is not an issue with the cards. But if there is no other solution I might need to try it.

how about just unplug the power cable to one one or the other to see if BIOS comes up .. and then flash back to 1.60 until they push out another update .. might work .. might not..?

Not tried to cut power to one card. Will try that.

Unplugging a either card did not help.

But, how do I "downgrade" to an old bios?
I never did that.

Or, how do I downgrade if I can't see the bios?

just flash like you normally do ..but if you can't see the BIOS screen to do so makes it a bit difficult, lol.

Do you have enough slack in your plumbing to unplug one of the cards from the motherboard and let it hang there for however long to see if BIOS is accessible?

I stop experimenting with the cards and wait for asrock support (unfortunately they are off until new year).

Thanks so far and happy new year.

Solution is, that bios outputs graphics via one specific display port of card one. In the past it was able to find the card where the displays are attached to. Anyway, at least I have a workaround to see the bios.
