I have: ASRock X99 Professional Motherboard Intel i7 5960X Processor Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz 16GB Sticks x4 This is an entirely new build. When I power up the computer with just the motherboard and CPU I get an error 53 and beeps from the speaker. This is as I expected.
When I put even a single stick of RAM in and power up the computer I get an error 19 quickly flashing up, followed by error b0. No beeps come from the speaker. Both of these errors, according to my manual, are issues with the RAM. I have tried the four sticks of RAM in A1, B1, C1 and D1 (the black slots) together, all four sticks of RAM in slot A1 individually and two different sticks in slots A2 and B1 individually. All configurations give me the same error message. I read in the above thread that a pre release version of UEFI 1.35 fixed the problem so I had a look at my motherboard and on my bios flash chips (there are two, I don't know if this is normal) there is a sticker that says 1.10, so it seems like I have an older version of the BIOS. Does it sound like the UEFI 1.35 would also fix my problem and if so how can I get hold of it? Thank you |

I have also tried to reset CMOS and repeat the process of different sticks of RAM in different slots. It didn't make a difference. Thanks |

I'll do you many times higher than P1.35 and instead direct you to P1.80, the latest Production BIOS, dated June 15 2015, fot the Fatal1ty X99 Professional. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20X99%20Professional/?cat=Download&os=BIOS" rel="nofollow - http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20X99%20Professional/?cat=Download&os=BIOS A word of caution: Use the Instant Flash means and file. Do NOT flash from or withiin Windows. If you need assistance with Instant Flash post back stating so and I or someone else will guide you. And indeed. 1.10 is way way outdated. Not for sure but 1.80 should get those sticks running no problem. There's been so many new DDR4 sizes and speeds released lately that the manufacturers have been pushing out BIOS releases steadily hoping to keep up. But 1.80 should work there for you. Hopefully anyways. Please post back your results. |

Ummm, You do have the X99 Pro and not the X99 Pro/3.1, right? What I linked above file wise is as you state in your first post, the Pro and NOT the Pro/3.1 |

Thanks for the response Wardog. Can I use instant flash when my computer is failing to boot as it is currently, or do I need some other sticks of RAM to get it going. I'm not sure how to tell if it is /3.1. There is no mention of /3.1 on the box that I can find. Under the Serial No and Part No is the code X99 PROFESSIONAL/A/ASRK if that helps. Thanks |

Sorry man. I just re-read your posts. Uh, NO you can't. Again, me bad there. I got stuck on your second post and had that fresh in my mind when I posted. You will first need a working stick stick that the computer will run with. 1. Are you able to beg borrow or steal  an 4GB-8GB stick from a friend?2. Have a friendly mom and pop computer repair that might slap a stick in there and flash it for you? 3. No help here but what specific 64GB Kit of Vengeance 3000Mhz is it you have there. |

Stick(no pun intended :) )to the slower speeds and a 4-8GB Kit if you do. If only to almost guarantee the BIOS will recognize them and allow it to boot. |

I can get a stick of Corsair Vengeance LPX 4GB 2400Mhz by tomorrow if I order today. I don't know enough about the specs. Is 2400Mhz likely to be slow enough as the lowest seems to be 2133Mhz and those are value sticks. Maybe that will do, but for a couple of pounds more I would prefer a stick I might find a use for afterwards. Thanks |

Any stick, singular. Like I said though, small and slow giving the BIOS the benefit of the doubt in recognizing it and boot. 4GB 2400 should be workable. Name brand, Corsair. Small enough it stands a far better chance. |

Good news. I got into BIOS using a 4GB 2400Mhz stick of Corsair LPX (the same Brand/Model as the 16GB Sticks) and upgraded to version 1.80. With the new BIOS installed I've been able to boot it up with the 16GB sticks and I'm setting up Windows now. Thank you for your help, Wardog. |
