Hi All,

Thank you for reading this.
Not sure if it is the right place though.

I am a happy owner of a QC5000 for the last 4 or so years, however it is time for me to upgrade.

Looking for a comparably low TPD mobo, with more then 4 cores and at least 32GB of RAM.

Noticed QC6000 and also 4X4-4800U.

QC6000 has same amount of cores but 32GB RAM.

4X4-4800U has high number of RAM and 8 cores, but how can I connect to it 5xSATA HDs to it?

Thank you for any info or alternatives you can provide.

The only way you can connect 5x SATA HDDs to 4x4-4800U is using NAS.
QC6000 you referring I can only find QC6000M, which only has 2 SATA ports, but has some PCIex1 slots to get a pcie-SATA card.
4x4-4800U CPU however is order of magnitude more powerful than whatever is in QC6000M

Thank you for you reply.

Is there any way to use the M.2 of the 4x4 mobo to connect SATA?
An M2 to PCIe or something?

The problem with 4x4, is that you have no space to put even 1 extra SSD, let alone 5, however it comes with 2 NICs. Also the mobo on that brick has everything accounted for and no extra parts:

Have a look at the photos, you'll see extremely tight fit for everything :)

Now I'll blame you, because I want one as well :D :D
