Hi,
i had some problems when tried to perform some action on a ssd disk (I formatted a partition with mkfs.ext4 on linux, and i executed trim on the ssd).
Those actions ended with "I/O remote error".

If i check disk SMART i noticed also this parameter:

ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME          FLAG     VALUE WORST THRESH TYPE      UPDATED WHEN_FAILED RAW_VALUE
183 SATA_Interfac_Downshift 0x0032   100   100   000    Old_age   Always       -       23

So i tried to change sata port to which the disk is connected, and i had no more I/O errors on formatting partition.

I revert the situation, and i have still errors.

I think there could be some problems with sata port, is there a way to perform a deeper test and to "certificate" it?

I also noticed from the motherboard manual that the sata port which gives me errors is named "SATA3_A1" and the sata port that works is named "SATA3_4".
Is there a reason why there is an "A" before the number? Are these a "special" port?

Or maybe the problem could be a bios setting matter?

Thank you
