Hi all,
I'm building my first PC with my kid as a sort of fun learning experience and an excuse to get new fun gaming stuff. But like i said it's my first real pc build so don't gate on me too hard for not knowing much.
Anyway, I've put together and taken apart this pc twice and I can't find anything wrong after searching all forums and topics and common or known issues.
I've got a hunch its a bad motherboard or bad powersupply (which sucks for my first build but i guess it happens).
parts listed below:
asrock b450m steel legend Ryzen 3200G w/integrated graphics (cooler included) corsair VS600w 80+ certified XPG spectrix 8gb ddr4 3200mhz x 2 (16gb total) XPG SPECTTRIX RGB SSD 256Gb PCIe(NVMe) Rosewell case
Now things I have tried on top of taking apart and rebuilding unit include: verify all stand offs are correct (no extra, no missing) no bent pins on CPU/GPU tried with only 1 stick of RAM only in all slots (slot A2 is preferred according to manual) tried booting with no USB plugs or any unnecessary plugs in the board Checked the bios, and the sticker show 3.30 which I believe is current
I jumped the 24 pin connecter and I made the power supply fan kick on, but nothing else (no RGB, no other fans) I looked at the back of the board and nothing looks burnt or shorted out, so I've got everything apart again and out of the case ready to trouble shoot again. But I'M AT A LOSS! Of course first time build with my kid would have some major technical issues. Guess its a good learning experience for him. haha
Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Do you have both power cables going from PSU to the motherboard? You have a 24 pin connector that goes on the side and an 8 pin connector up top for the CPU.

yes,ive had both plugged in all 3 times I've rebuilt this SOB . I've got it completely disassembled and put back together out of the case and still same situation. interestingly I plugged in an external hard drive into the USB port on the motherboard and it did power it up because I could hear it spinning. But still nothing but LEDs on MoBo are lighting up or moving.
