RAM overclocking with Ryzen is hit and miss, it is heavily dependent on the
IMC (integrated Memory Controller on the CPU). The Ryzen 3400G is in fact based
on Ryzen 2xxx architecture and uses the same IMC. From Zen 2 onward RAM overclocks
have become more reliable but the 3400g is based on Zen+.

All that said, search for a RAM overclocking guide using Ryzen Calc. This will
help you find the best possible overclock for your setup using manual settings.
XMP does not always work as it should but many have better luck using Ryzen Calc
and manual settings.
