I have a Z170 OC Formula.
I have a soundblaster 7.1 channel card that I used in my previous PC.
I was hoping to use onboard 7.1 for this PC instead.
But I can't figure out how the few audio jacks on the back put out 8 channels.
I see front, rear, center bass.  For 7.1 that means 2 channels are missing.
Can anyone explain to me how to hook up 7 speakers+sub to the output of the board?

Thanks

Dan

The manual is such a wonderful learning instrument.

Take a gander at the bottom of pg 11.

The same chart is on my QIG.
It didn't make sense to me that I would have to lose my line-in to do it.

Thanks for the clarification.

Going back to soundblaster.
