I have a brand new H570M Pro4 motherboard.
I can get it to boot just fine via NVME, but I'm trying to now boot using a sata SSD, which is only allowed when using the CSM (compatibility support module).

The catch is that you can't enable CSM with IGPU Multi-monitor also enabled. It says CSM requires the use of an external GPU, which I *DO* have installed (it's an nvidia Quadro P620, a small, low-power card). Even if I set the primary GPU to use the PCIe card, it makes no difference... the CSM option in the boot menu is greyed-out. Seems like more of a bad bios design than a hardware limitation.

The purpose of this is so I can use hardware transcoding (Quicksync) in the Intel i3-10100 chip I have installed. The only way to do this is at least enable the onboard graphics. I'd like to have both the nvidia and the onboard Intel graphics working, but it seems that this is inpossible to do AND boot off of a sata drive. Of course this limitation isn't mentioned anywhere in the manual...

Unless there's some bizarre workaround, I'm probably going to just return this
board to Microcenter.   I could re-install windows to the nvme drive, but this seems like a hassle to just enable the on-board graphics.

I also have this same issue- I however do not have a discrete graphics card, and therefore am also unable to enable CSM, did you end up finding a fix, or just end up returning the board?

Hi xyvyx,

Thank you for your post.

This issue is an Intel 10th or later CPU integrated graphic limitation. Intel stops providing integrated graphic legacy vBIOS from Intel 10th CPU, so the integrated graphics cannot work under Legacy mode (CSM on).

Please install an external graphic card if you want to enable CSM.

If you have other questions, please feel free to contact us.

All the best,
ASRock TSD
