Dear Cr?zySquirrél, Thank you for the posting.
This case may relate to the OS format. Please boot into BIOS/Boot/CSM to set the option "CSM" to "Disable"(MBR Mode) or "Enable"(GPT Mode) by turns to verify.
Thank you,
Best wishes, ASRock TSD

Indeed this sounds like you need to format one or both of those Samsung 980 Pro M.2 drives.
To do this boot to Windows and follow these steps;
1. Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalise" then scroll down the page and click on "Desktop icon settings".
2. In the window that pops up click the box that says "Computer". You might as well go ahead and tick the boxes that say "Users Files" and "Recycle Bin". You'll thank me when you see how much faster and easier this makes getting to certain things in Win10 ;)
3. Click "OK" and you'll see some new icons appear on the desktop. Right-click "This PC" and select "Manage".
4. In the new window that pops up click on "Disk Management", give your system a few moments as windows is scanning all of your drives. In the list that then pops up you'll see your uninitialised disk with a label for example of something like "disk 1" and underneath it "unknown". Next to it will be a black bar with the words "unallocated" underneath. Click in this space and select "New Simple Volume"
5. Keep clicking "Next" then "Finish". Let the format complete and your new SSD will then be initialised and ready for use.
