Hi
I have ASRock B550M Pro4 motherboard. BIOS is latest v1.8.

I find that my Ryzen 3500X is always nearly at 3.6 Ghz or so whatever is its normal frequency.

CPU-Z app shows it constant at that speed even idling.

In my earlier systems Ryzen 3 1200 (First gen Ryzen) the CPU would slow to half its normal speed when there's less load.

I have looked in BIOS but not able to figure out if there's any setting on this board something similar to AMD Cool n Quite that would slow the CPU when not having much load or idling. Does anyone know if there's any such feature in BIOS of this board.

Theres a few things you can try;

1. Download and install the latest AMD chipset drivers https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b550" rel="nofollow - https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b550

2. After installing the chipset drivers and restarting check "Power Options" in the Windows control panel to ensure the "AMD Ryzen" plan is selected.
