I want to boot from M.2 RAID1 but I saw this line in the specs:

"RAID function for PCIe mode SSD in M2_1 is only available with IntelĀ® SSD installed."

What does this mean? I can only use Intel brand SSD and not other brands?

Hi Johnny2021,

Thank you for your POST.

According to Z590M Pro4 specification, the RAID function for PCIe mode SSD in M2_1 is only available with IntelĀ® SSD installed, so it is unable to use other brands' SSD if you would like to create a RAID volume. But you still can use other brand's SSD at M2_2 for the RAID volume.

However, for better stability, we recommend using SSDs of the same brand, model, and capacity for the RAID volume.

You can refer to our RAID instruction manual to create a RAID volume and install Windows in the RAID volume.

All the best,
