I have a week old system: B560 Steel Legend i5-11500 2x8GB Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16. The board came with 1.40 BIOS, which I successfully updated to 1.50. No problems so far. Yesterday, I updated BIOS to 1.70 (flash procedure was successful). However, in Windows 10 Event Viewer I now get WHEA-Logger fatal hardware error after every (planned) reboot - no BSODs or random reboots so far. I'm little concerned since it is described as fatal hardware error, meaning something is about to die. |

| I get the same Error once on Startup with the B560m Steel Legend. It doesn´t reappear after, only once on a freshly started System. Otherwise the System is totally stable. I´ve tried various Bios Settings, including default Settings, can´t get rid of it. |

Which BIOS version do you have...1.70? On 1.50 there was no such error (although I ran it only for a week) |

I´m on the latest Bios for B560m which is 1.30. I didn´t actively check for those errors on the previous L1.22 Bios, but i see some of them in the Event Viewer in the timeframe where i ran that Bios. I run a 11400f, 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix 3200, Gtx 1060. |

I just joined this forum as I am getting exactly the same error on my ASUS rog strix b560 motherboard. System seems stable but quite worrying that there is a fatal error. I am using crucial BL2K8G32C16U4BL 3200 memory and a 11400 chip. Let?™s hope we all can find a solution |

You can at least learn which Windows process is causing this error. In Event Viewer see the number in the "Execution ProcessID" (every reboot it is a different process ID), and then in Task Manager find that process ID. Right-click a process in the Details tab, and you can click "Go To Service(s)" and it will take you to the actual service running in the Services tab. It looks like my WHEAs were reported by "Diagnostic Policy Service" (DPS). Interesting. |

Yeah mine is the same service as yours. This has got to be something with the b560 chipset as we all have different graphics, storage and memory. I didn?™t have this error until I swapped out my mono, cpu and ram |

When did you notice the WHEA error ....after installing the nvme drive (if new) or after updating the BIOS. In my case almost the whole system was new (board, CPU, RAM and nvme drive), and the errors started only after updating BIOS from 1.50 to 1.70. I also installed Windows on my old 850 EVO SSD (did not remove the nvme drive - 970 EVO+) and the WHEA error also showed in Windows when booting from SSD. |

I am using ASUs board and was on default bios. When I updated bios it was doing the same. I was also getting very slow post bios when restarting windows with the sn850. I?™ve returned the sn850 and just using my 950pro. Restarts are fine and no whea errors any more. |

I flashed the newest Bios for B560M Steel Legend 1.40, which was released today. I´m still getting the Event ID1 Error on Startup. Running an 11400f, Adata SX8200pro Nvme. Apart from that the Bios seems to be the same as 1.30. It still applies extremely high Auto Voltages when using Gear 1 Memory Mode and the Voltage Control for VCCSA is really inaccurate. |

I installed the L1.81 BIOS and the WHEA error seems to be resolved, as it does not show on several restarts now. What was the problem with the L1.7 BIOS to show the error ...as mentioned, I did not notice any instabilities or BSODs. |

Issue has been resolved with the Beta Bios L1.41 for B560m Steel Legend. Thanks for the quick support @ASRock_TSD, Board is working really well now. |
