ASRock Z590 Steel Legend Top M.2 slot

I just bought an ASRock Z590 Steel Legend motherboard, I keep reading different things about the top M.2 slot. Some stuff says that the slot will only work if I bought a 11xxx CPU and a PCIe 4.0 drive, others say it will work fine if I put a 3.0 drive in it.

Can anyone clarify if I can put my XPG SX8200 Pro 3.0 drive in the top slot with my 10900k or not?
