I just finished my first rig with ASRock X370 Pro4 Motherboard, Ryzen 3 1200, 4GB RAM and 6x GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER.

So far so good.

Unfortunately my rig mines only with 4 GPUs, when I try to use the fifth one it only displays as TU116 [GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER] with the error message ?œNVIDIA OC failed??

I read that perhaps PCIE5 nad PCIE6 always run at Gen3 or Gen4.
It?™s not possible to set them to Gen1 or Gen2 in the BIOS.

Anyone here who can check that?

Is there a BIOS who let me change the speed of the ports so I can use the slots?

Thanks in advance

You're right, for the X370 it's only Gen3.

I like to set every PCIE to Gen2.

Any idea how I can achieve this?

I used to have the x470 Master SLI/ac that had "auto/Gen2/Gen1" settings until the PCIe 4.0 5700xt was released and they did a BIOS update to change "auto" to "Gen3" due to negotiation problems with the new video cards... I don't remember what the setting was called or where it was located.

Does nothing to help you out currently .. other than to say that you'll just have to dig around in your BIOS and see if you can find it.. I looked at your manual and it's not very detailed in it's BIOS settings listings..

Unfortunately it's hard to find help on this topic.

Wrote to the ASRock support, I will see if they can be of any help.

Nothing changed, no matter what I changed in the BIOS.

But the customer service from ASRock answered, here is what they said:

Dear customer,

It is not about PCIE 2.0 or 3.0, but about the hardware that can be addressed.

The first 2 PCIE slots are connected to the CPU, the other slots are connected to the chipset.

What you need is a function called Above 4G decoding, but this only works when CSM is disabled, and the graphics cards support GOP

Since the new Agesa codes have a number of changes, it can be this function is available in the BIOS, but I cannot tell, each Agesa is different.

There is no Beta BIOS

So I tried again to disable CSM with 4G decoding, this time only with one GPU attached.
It started and mined.
Then I attached one GPU after the other, but with the fifth it denied to start.
It will not even reach the ASRock screen to go into the BIOS.
So I tried with one card to go into the BIOS again, but as soon as the first page of the BIOS appeared, it started again.

What can that be, it?™s starting with one card in HiveOS and is mining, but you can?™t access the BIOS.

And what is meant with ?œsupport for GOP?? the 1660 Super is a current model, so it should have support for GOP, or am I wrong?

Did you solve the issue? I am having something similar when I installed more than 9 GPUs in the sistem.
