I have a W480 Creator motherboard with a I9 10900k and Samsung 970 Pro configuration.
Intend to upgrade to a I9 11900K and Samsung 980 Pro to move up to PCIe-4 storage performance
Machine is used for Design and analysis - Solidworks

Have had a look thru the manual regarding setup for PCIe-4 storage and could not find any references. Have I missed something.

I expect the CPU will be OK with a BIOS update

For the storage to connect at PCIe-4
Is there a required setup OR will the motherboard just recognize the NVMe SSD.
