Subject: Intel XTU Benchmark Greyed out

After upgrading to BIOS 1.8 for my motherboard, Intels XTU has some changes:

1. I cannot see separate Core information (temperature, clocks etc).
2. I cannot run Benchmark.

Anyone else having this issue?

I restarted my PC, and the button was there. When I ran it, within a second it stopped and said "The benchmarking process has failed and no score was recorded as a result."

Then it got greyed out.

Try uninstalling XTU and all of it's components then reinstalling it, make sure you have the latest version. I have no issues with XTU on my 6600k/H170 system aside from grayed out overclocking features which is exactly as it should be.

I resintalled it, ran some benches and now Im getting scores faster than the guy who ran his CPU at 4.8Ghz (im still at stock)..

This was before the BIOS update, where the score was inline with other 6700ks
(which was inline with other 4.2ghz 6700ks)

As BIOS updates come out and improve compatibility it isn't odd that from one BIOS to the next there would be gains/deficits depending on what was changed. If the user with the overclocked 6700k were to bench their system again with the same BIOS you are using they may well see similar gains.

My comment was also in reference to the fact that you got it working Wink
