Hi all, just a quick sticky to inform our members regarding TPM 2.0 support for Windows 11.
On AMD side anything older than Ryzen (AM4) will likely not be compatible with Windows 11.
This is as things currently stand as of 25/06/2021

So how does one go about enabling fTPM on modern AsRock boards? B550 for example?

I should be ok then. I'm using a x470 taichi. I never paid attention to TPM but is that located in the security section in the BIOS? I don't remember the actual setting name.

Woa, does that mean my 970A-G/3.1 will not be able to run Win11?

Found this on GitHub, it will tell you exactly why your PC cannot run Win 11, not that useless MicroSoft one lol. https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11" rel="nofollow - https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11 As you can see mine all checks out except TPM. https://ibb.co/FX3vs1W" rel="nofollow - https://ibb.co/FX3vs1W I believe this setting is in the security section of the bios on x470 but it doesn't exactly say TPM.

Ah, ok nice let me know how it goes. Also the fTPM switch is located in the BIOS security tab? You have a x570 as I have a x470 but it should be in the same place.

I have enabled fTPM and Secure Boot, along with disabling CSM and the W11 Health check does not recognize TPM 2.0
I have:
B550M-ITX/ac motherboard Ryzen 5 5600X Windows 10 Pro
I have not yet updated the BIOS so that is as it came from the factory.

Is there a header on the board for it? If so you will have to purchase an add on card. That is the situation for the X570 Taichi.

Two notes on the TPM / fTPM thing. First, Microsoft pulled the PC Health Check App. They claim it was not ready, but will make it available again, closer to the launch of Windows 11.
The second thing is that I have a Windows 10 VM that did not pass the PC Health Check. But that same VM successfully installed the Insider Preview of Windows 11, build 22000.
For now, lack of TPM will not prevent Windows 11 preview from running.

I just found the setting on my x470 in the BIOS. Now it says Win 11 ready. https://ibb.co/6DgP6ng" rel="nofollow - https://ibb.co/6DgP6ng Use the tool WhyNotWin11 that will give more accurate results.
Also just upgraded to a 5950x :)

Well then I am happy to report that dont need anything for my Taichi x570 board, I am currently getting ready for windows 11, system is downloading it as I type this. All I did was first update bios (there is a bran new update). Then went to security and made sure secure boot was enabled. and lastly I went to the advanced tab un CPU configuration and at the bottom for tpm i enable amd Ftmp. and boom, I was ready for 11.

Hello everyone,
I have a ASRock B550M-ITX/AC, did a fresh UEFI Windows 10 install, enabled secure boot and also enabled AMD CPU fTPM in the BIOS but still can't get the Windows 11 checker to validate the TPM and I still get an error for it. All the other checks are OK.
CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and I built the rig in January 2021.
Still running the BIOS that came from the factory and have not attempted to upgrade it yet.
Anyone has the same issue?

I was able to fix it by upgrading the BIOS to version 1.80
Quite scary due to the risk of bricking the motherboard but now the PC passes all Windows 11 checks.

Note for ASRock x570 Taichi (AMD Ryzen 9): Simply turning/enabling "AMD CPU fTPM" did not work for me. I had to update my existing BIOS from P3.4 to P4.6. The update page at asrock.com says "Support Microsoft Windows 11". Once I updated the BIOS I did not need to go back into the BIOS to change any settings. TPM shows up when checking with windows 10. Type: tpm.msc in the run-box (press window key & R at the same time to open the run-box). It will either say ready or not ready.
