I have Asrock B450 Pro4-f mobo, ryzen 5 1600. It?™s been working fine for months, built about a year ago. Today on boot, it won?™t boot past splash screen, and won?™t let me get to boot menu or use any of the keyboard functions to otherwise get off the boot logo. First I powered down and removed everything from ports, removed ssd, everything except RAM, CPU, GPU, keyboard and mouse. No luck. Then I powered down and reset CMOS, i had no jumper so I needed to pull the battery, in order to do that I had to pull gpu, after putting it back together with everything else still unplugged it isn?™t even registering my monitor at this point. Any ideas where to go from here?

Do you get any codes on the motherboard (most motherboards have an LCD to show codes)?

My first thought is the CPU might be done.

I honestly don?™t thing there?™s a debug lcd on this motherboard, if there is I can?™t find it and I don?™t see anything online about it. I lean more towards it being the motherboard because I?™ve seen so many forums with people having this same issues with this mobo. Thinking about just buying a new mobo from Best Buy as a tester and returning it if cpu doesn?™t run on it lol.

Depending on your budget, you may want to get a motherboard that will scale up on CPU version. For instance, later on you want to get a Ryzen 2xxx or 3xxx CPU. If your motherboard truly is done, then you will have a better motherboard and already be good for a CPU upgrade.
