I have a H97 Mini itx/ac

2014 motherboard

It has bios updates that say specifically added nvme support.

Does that mean i can just plug a NVME ssd into my WIFI Card slot and it will boot from it.

Or do i still need an adapter?

Has Anyone tried this with this particular motherboard?

Are the drives bootable or not if they worked.

Thank you for replying in advance

Hi Reaper89971

Thank you for your post.

The Mini PCIe slot on H97 Mini itx/ac was designed for WIFI card and it is unavailable for NVME SSD.

When you updating the BIOS which supports nvme, it means your motherboard can support the PCIe type nvme SSD.

We recommend installing the nvme SSD on your PCIE x16 slot via a PCIe to M.2 adapter.

All the best
