[I submitted a tech request on this but thought I'd post here as well.]

Set up this new system and no BIOS display; no video at power up. Intended to use the onboard HDMI but no output according to monitor. I then tried a known-good separate graphics card (Nvidia GT 640) and still no output.

Power LED comes on; fans all power up and spin.
Both ATX and CPU power cables connected.
Monitor, keyboard, and mouse are known-good (borrowed from another computer).
CPU is found in ASRock compatibility list for this motherboard.
RAM inserted in A2 and B2 per manual for dual channel.
Removed CPU, checked that no pins are bent, and reinstalled CPU.

CPU does not support on board video. You need a discreet graphics adapter. AKA video card.

Thanks. As noted in the post, I tried a discrete GPU (Nvidia GT 640, known-working from another computer) and still no video via DVI. Tech support replied so we're working through determining what is wrong.
