Hello,

a few years ago I build my PC with these main components:
Mainboard: Asrosck Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4
CPU: Intel core i7 6700K
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2x16 GB

Now I want to double the RAM. I haven't found the same modules again, so I bought this Single Rank module: Crucial RAM CT32G4DFD832A 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22.
After that I noticed, a storage module of this size may not be compatible with my mainboard or CPU cause they haven't been constructed when the older components were on sale.

But I am not sure about that. Do you know if my mainboard can detect this RAM correctly?

The memory controller is integrated in the CPU, it is not on the board.

The best speed would be 1866MHz, or 1600
The memory controlelr canb set only one set of voltages and timings that is valid for all the slots, mixing memory, is never a good idea, it can lead to system instability.
Best to always use a kit of 2, and in DDR3 Kingston Usuyally works best

-------------
Kind Regards
