That board was designed specifically with the Intel Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition in mind hence the name Wink

The G3258 is supported with all BIOS revisions for that board. 17th from the bottom on the CPU support list. If you plan to overclock however you will want to avoid BIOS version 1.50 as it was designed to disable overclocking due to conflicts with windows 10.

If you want to overclock and use Windows 10 then you will have to google how to do that, there is a lot of information available on non-Z (your board is an H97) overclocking with windows 10. Overclocking with windows 10 on non Z97/Z87 boards is not officially supported by ASRock so I cannot advise you as to how to work around the issue here.

My advice is just to stick with windows 8.1 and avoid the headache.

Where are you finding an Intel Pentium G3258 that has a 3.5MB cache? Where did you come across this processor?

If it's in PCpartspicker, or whatever it is called, they are wrong about a 3.5MB cache. Same for Amazon, eBay, etc.

There is only one Intel Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition, this one:

http://ark.intel.com/products/82723/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G3258-3M-Cache-3_20-GHz" rel="nofollow - http://ark.intel.com/products/82723/Intel-Pentium-Processor-G3258-3M-Cache-3_20-GHz

This is the official list of the current Intel Pentium processors:

http://ark.intel.com/products/family/29862/Intel-Pentium-Processor#@Desktop" rel="nofollow - http://ark.intel.com/products/family/29862/Intel-Pentium-Processor#@Desktop

If you highlight the text in quotes in your post, right click on it and select "Search Yahoo...", see what the first hit from Intel in the results is. Wink

You know that the H97 Anniversary board is named for the Intel Pentium G3258 Anniversary Edition processor, right? So how could it not be supported by this board?

Reason was that i found this CPU on a Swedish webbshop  http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorkomponenter/200720-intel_pentium_g3258_anniversary_edition-2_tradar-32ghz-35mb-socket_1150#overview" rel="nofollow - http://www.webhallen.com/se-sv/datorkomponenter/200720-intel_pentium_g3258_anniversary_edition-2_tradar-32ghz-35mb-socket_1150#overview  so i thought why not, its an Anniversary CPU, maybe they made this CPU exclusive with 3,5MB

Thanks guys
