I am trying to figure out where the issue is coming from and really all I can narrow it down to is the Killer NIC on this ASRock Z97 Killer R  motherboard.  I upgraded to this new motherboard and I can no longer get windows udpates.  It just hangs for hours.

Has anyone had this issue, I cannot get my PC running without any of windows updates...I have tried downloading all the drivers off the APP Shop, I can't get anywhere.

I've been researching for a couple hours and not getting anywhere.

Tried disabling windows firewall....nothing is working.

The driver installs did install Norton and I did remove it, only thing else I can think of.

I'm guessing here, but did you do a fresh OS install? I'm reading your post and thinking your answer to my question is "No'

Strange. My windows 7 64bit survived 2 different motherboards changes and upgrade to win 10 64bit without need of reinstall. I have killer lan too. Is your network adapter functional in other aspects?

If you are still having network issues, try reading this guide about problems updating the Atheros network chip in your board. This guide has a link to it on the Win 10 driver download page for your board:

Your posts are very vague regarding what is happening, but it seems you cannot download anything at a normal speed?

I'm thinking I hit the nail on the head when I asked of a fresh OS install, versus simply moving the OS dive from one Z97 board to another.
