I have come here looking for some assistance on my next ASRock purchase and I am hoping folks can lend me some feedback.

Background:

I am currently building a new PC and have decided to purchase a Z170 Extreme 7+. In buying parts I believe I might have made a mistake in my purchase of memory, but I needed to confirm. Because I had a good idea of what I wanted to buy at the time, I pulled the trigger and bought the RAM prior to committing to the motherboard purchase. (It was on an amazing sale!)

Originally I was looking at purchasing the OC Formula but changed my mind and opted to purchase the ASRock Z170 Extreme 7+ instead. The RAM is G.Skill DDR4 PC3200 (F4-3200C16D-16GVK) which matches compatible memory for the OC Formula. I assumed this would match the Z170 Extreme 7+, but I can't find this memory in the compatibility list. More confusing, the Trident Z series from G.Skill is listed as compatible with all the same specifications (CAS, voltage and XMP) as the RAM own currently.

So for the $150 question:

Is the G.Skill DDR4 PC3200 (F4-3200C16D-16GVK) ok to use with the Z7+?

Thanks!
