I have a question about setting up fans control on this motherboard.  I have the cpu fan hooked up to the cpu header.  Beside it is a header called pwm.  Can it be used to control any fans?  The 2 front fans are powered directly from the power supply and are very noisy. The top outlet fan is hooked up to a chassis fan header and another chassis fan header is empty.

I would like to use the chassis headers to power the front fans so I can adjust the speed on the MB.  Could the outlet fan be hooked up to the pwm or should I just power it from the power supply?

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.  As you can tell I'm a computer newby.

The fans have to support PWM to be controllable on the PWM header. If they are it should work fine.

Xaltar;

Thanks for your response.  I will see if any of my other fans are pwm fans.  I assume that all cpu cooler fans are pwm fans.
