Hi.
I have recently purchased a Z490 board, not yet installed.
On the board I will use an i7-10700KF CPU.
My question is if this board already has an integrated TPM, or if TPM has to be installed as an separate module for which the board has separate connection?
I asked the question somewhere else and some seems to think that all that is needed is to enable TPM in bios. But then why the TPM connection on the board?
Thanks

Hi Sjur,

Thank you for your post.

You can choose the Intel PTT (fTPM) or discrete TPM for your system.

Intel PTT is the TPM function that build-in the CPU.

If you would like to have the TPM for Win 11, we recommend following the below link to enable the fTPM.
