Hi!
I'd like to know if it is possible to power two hdds (one ssd and one 2,5" hdd) with the SATA Power Connector of the motherboard.
Is there a splitter  suitable if there is indeed such possibility?

I'm using a DC 19V/5A to power the system.

Thanks!

Good question. I would feel better about powering two drives from the board's SATA power header if you were using the ATX power connector and a standard PC PSU.

But since you will be using a SSD as one of the two drives, 99.5% of which just use +5V DC power, and usually a maximum of 1A (5W) of power, you should be fine.

SATA power splitter cables are very common. You can use something like this example connected directly to the board's SATA power connector, or attached to the cable provided with the board:

What model of HDD will you be using?

I'm not sure yet,i haven't really looked around.
My first priority would be to keep the pc as silent as possible, that's why i dont have a standar psu,so i'll probably look for a lower rpm disk,i think they 're not as noisy.Any suggestions maybe?

The worst thing that can happen is that it won't power on or shut down if there's not enough power?
I could give it a try with some older disk and see what happens :)
