Hi there,

This is my first post.

I am planning to build a NAS server. I currently only have the QX2710 monitor and it only has a dual-link DVI-D port. The resolution is 2560x1440 @60Hz.

I saw this motherboard and it seems to have support for dual-link DVI-D support up to 2560x1600 @60Hz. So, technically, the monitor should work.

Would it really work? Because none of the Intel iGPUs support Dual-Link DVI-D connectivity. I was thinking AMD APUs would be the same.

Other option is to buy a cheap video card like the R5 230. But I would rather not get a video card.

Cheers.

Can we trust the specs from AMD for their integrated graphics? I would hope so.

The main thing to pay attention to regarding the AMD graphics is this, from the board's specs:

Integrated AMD Radeon??R7/R5 Series Graphics in A-series APU

Which means all compatible processors will not meet this spec.

Hopefully someone that owns this board and uses the integrated graphics, and uses your monitor can either confirm or not that it works together.

The following is from the specs for your QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II monitor:

Compatibility
Please note that Laptops and On-Board graphics cards are NOT compatible with the monitor.
Also, we do not recommend using the monitor with Mac series including Mac Pro since it usually fails to show good quality images on the screen with the Mac series.
Please check the port of your graphic card BEFORE purchasing to make sure that there won't be any compatibility issue with the monitor. Because monitor be unable to support all display ports of your PC.

Recommended Graphic cards
??NVIDIA: GTX460 or more than 1GB memory, with DVI-D Port
??ATI: HD6850 or more than 1GB memory, with DVI-D Port

Dual Monitor configuration recommended
??GTX580 or HD6970. The GPU shoud have 2 dual linked DVI port.
??Please use DVI-D port only. may not used with DVI-I or DVI-S. Also may not be used by port converter. (D-sub, HDMI, DP)

The AMD graphics may be the exception to this, given the specs.

BTW, there seems to be a driver patch available that allows the monitors to run on a single link DVI connection and HDMI. I've never used it but it might help if you have a problem:
