Hello,
I have the opportunity to buy a new and unused AsRock A320M-HDV for a good price. A Ryzen 1600x (Summit Ridge) is to be installed on the board. There is a Ryzen 3000 Ready Sticker on the Mainboard box, which makes me a little unsure about the 1600x, because the AsRock website expressly advises against installing many bios versions that support newer CPUs if a Ryzen of the first generation is installed. Unfortunately, there is no Information about the Bios Version on the Sticker on the Side of the Box with the Serial Number. What would be the risk that the Board would not start with the 1600x? Thank you very much, I am very happy about help

on the photo of the board I found a sticker near the bios battery that says P 4.00. Version P 4.00 is not displayed as bios on the website, but bios versions that exclude the Ryzen 1xxx only start with P5.xx, I assume that it will work.

BE CAREFUL \ there are two versions of the hdv the regular one and the r 4.0 release.
You may be using the bios of the wrong version

I would try booting without flashing the bios

It is the R4.0. Bios 4.00 is displayed for the board on the AsRock Website. Unfortunately this Biosversion is no longer suitable for Summit Ridge :(
Luckily I haven't bought it yet. Thanks ???

You can still use it to flash update to the 5000 series. The newest is not RECOMMENDED for 1600 BUT it will work for flash updating.
