After getting a great deal on a 5600x cpu, I replaced my 1700x in my X370 Fatal1ty gaming K4. I ran all the bridge bios upgrades 3.5 --> 5.1 --> 7.00 then applied the 7.03 beta bios. All good, windows still booted between each update, although the PC speaker beeps in a different tone now. I swapped the cpu (removed 1700x, installed 5600x), now the system goes into a reboot loop. Dr. Debug flashes codes: 33, 43, 7A, 60, 66 (power cycles after 66 code) I unplugged, pulled the CMOS battery, no change. Yanked all the USB devices, no change. Any ideas? I'm running some older G.Skill 2400 fortis ram (amd-specific for ryzen gen1) |

Unfortunately a lot of people never come back and post when they fix their issue. Usually it means they fixed the problem but we have no way of knowing if it was thanks to the advice in their thread or they found another solution. You should be able to upgrade to a 5800x on your board however, it is officially supported. You can also post back here (in a new thread of your own) if you have any problems. Even if you have issues you can find help here or make a ticket with ASRock's Support staff. Someone will be able to help resolve any issue you have. -------------

I read there are some problems with 7.03 bios on other x370 boards, like bootloops with 4 ram sticks. But for this board - Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4, 7.03 is the last beta - there is no 7.10 or 7.20 yet... Probably will not be able to go back to older stable bios if this one is causing problems with the memory or something. That is why I'm searching for confirmation that it will work. |

I'm having exactly the same issue on the Fatal1ty X370 Gaming Pro Using Trident Z memory 32000hz Works fine with my Ryzen 1700 but when I install my 5800X I get the same exact debug codes with the same power cycle reboot loop. Have you figured out the issue? I've been troubleshooting for around 10 hours already including reinstalling Windows. No luck so far. |

Yes, I must've re-flashed liked 7 times to make sure. Was successful every time and shows I'm running 7.10 Boots fine with 1700 but nothing with 5800X |

Hi, so I figured I'd reply to you since the post owner went mia. I had the same issue. Switched from using Gskill TridentZ ram to Corsair Vengeance and everything is working now. Very weird |

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I am facing EXACTLY the same issue. I was using Ryzen 7 2700. I used a 16GB kit at first, then added another 32GB kit (same make, model etc., but different dies). It failed to operate at XMP frequency, maxed out at 2933 with XMP timings. That was fine for me, I thought maybe it's the CPU or mobo issues and I was waiting for my new CPU to arrive anyways. After the upgrade, I couldn't post at all. I removed the 32GB kit and saw these error codes: 33, 43, 7A, 60, 66/b6. I removed the second 16GB stick and made it into the BIOS. Put in the second stick - can't post again. Removed the second stick, enabled XMP (so higher voltage and better timings), inserted second stick and now it boots. However, trying to boot even with a single 16GB stick from the 32GB kit simply fails to post at all. I don't seem to be able to post with the 16GB kit in dual channel if XMP is not enabled as well (I assume too low voltage after CPU upgrade). Any ideas? Perhaps you managed to fix your problem? |
