Hi,
A quick question for someone that knows for sure. I am using 16GB (2x8) of memory. According to the Quick Installation Guide, that came with the motherboard, Priority 1 is to use slots A2 and B2 but according to ASRock's memory chart on their webpage it says "Note3: For 2pcs (DS), please use A1 and B1 slot". I have found several errors in the manual so I wouldn't be surprised if it is wrong but then again the memory chart is also outdated. Thanks.

In general, when using two DIMMs, the A2 and B2 slots are the best to use.

Note 3 changes that to the A1 and B1 slots for Double Sided (DS) memory. Most of the memory in the support list is Single Sided (SS) memory.

Since we have no idea what memory you are using, that's all I can tell you. If you know you have single sided memory, use slots A2 and B2. If you know it is DS memory, use A1 and B1.

That seems clear IMO, although the manual does not include Note 3.

Thank you for your reply. I am using G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVK. It is not in the memory chart, can you tell me if it is SS or DS? I ended up putting it in slots A2/B2 and it is currently working fine but I would like to have it in the correct slots as recommended by ASRock. Thanks

If anyone else is looking for this information for 8GB G.Skill DIMMs not shown on ASRock's list, according to G.Skill "They are double sided, same with all current 8GB sticks".  I should have figured that out looking at all the other G.Skill 8GB modules on ASRock's list - live and learn!
