Hi,

1. According to the cpu list, the model FD6330WMW6KHK is supported with the bios 1.80.
Problem : this bios is not online.
So, where can we find it ?

2. All bioses excepted the last (1.70) have been pulled down from the Asrock site.
Same problem for others mobos : "old" bioses disappeared from the site.

Shocked

Why ?

Good question about UEFI/BIOS version 1.80 being not available for the 990FX Extreme9.

I checked a few other ASRock 990FX boards, like the Fatal1ty, Extreme6 and Extreme3, and the include the FX-6330 in the CPU support list, and have the updated UEFI/BIOS version to support that processor.

My guess is, it is a mistake that the version 1.80 UEFI/BIOS version was removed. Or it had an issue and was removed, but was not replaced with a fixed version, again a mistake.

Since the FX-6330 is the only new processor that needs the update, it is more likely to be overlooked. Or possibly it was thought that a 95W processor was unlikely to be used in the 990FX Extreme9 board, whose purpose is being able to handle the FX-9000 series.

Add to that the FX-6330 was released only in Asia as a budget level processor, and is not available in the USA or Europe. It also seems to have been released as an OEM/tray only type of processor, meaning not sold in the usual retail manner. Which means not much need for it to be supported, sorry to say.

Regarding older BIOS versions for older mother boards; Those boards are no longer being sold, some for many years. What is the point of keeping old BIOS versions available for download when the latest version is the best and only version that anyone would need?

In some cases, users will use an older BIOS version if a new one is known to have issues. But after a year or more, any issues in the latest BIOS version will be obvious. There is really no point in keeping the old BIOS versions available on a company's servers.

The 990FX Extreme9 version 1.80 BIOS does not fit into the older mother board category... yet.

Bios 1.80 has been released yesterday.

1.Add NVMe support.
2.Update Network module.

Thanks to Asrock Europe and Taiwan for their fast answer.  Smile

Thank you!

Do you still own the 990FX Extreme9?

Which tools do you use to update the modules?

Could you update your BIOS with AHCI 3.3.2.0, available http://www.win-raid.com/t154f16-Tool-Guide-News-quot-UEFI-BIOS-Updater-quot-UBU.html" rel="nofollow - here or http://www.win-raid.com/t7f13-AHCI-amp-RAID-ROM-Modules-58.html#msg27649" rel="nofollow - here ?

When I am home from business I will benchmark my 850 Evo before and after and post the results.

Doesn't UBU allow this with these particular BIOS files?

IIRC, it does.
