I have problems booting my computer and can't find the reason ...

The motherboard is  http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B85%20Anniversary/" rel="nofollow - B85 Anniversary LGA1150 mATX , and I can't identify the correct beep code.

The sound is 3-beeps follows by short pause and 3 more beeps.
After that it may happen that the computer powers cycles off/on and it repeats; but it may also just keep on beeping with this pattern - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpQ_k4_7A8o" rel="nofollow - I have uploaded the video of the error to YouTube .

Its not the 3-beeps for memory - I've tested by removing the memory and that beeps were different (higher tone & just 3 not 6 beeps).

Can anyone help me with this?

I've been playing with different options (removing graphic card, RAM, switching DIMM positions, ...) and now it stopped beeping!
... in fact stopped doing anything - it just starts to blank screen, no sound, fans are spinning ...

well, repair shop here I come ...

Try clearing CMOS using http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal" rel="nofollow - this method.

When that is done try powering up the system without any keyboard or mouse connected. The beeps could be a key stuck or faulty keyboard beep.

Well, the computer is at the repair shop right now, so I can't try the 4-hour process,
but it can't be the keyboard - it was beeping when nothing but the power was plugged in
(also I use KVM switch and it works OK on other computer)

But thanks for reply anyway Smile

Solved:

Repair shop confirmed that the board died, since it was still under warranty it was replaced.
I'm a happy camper now.

Great to hear you have your problem sorted and that you were covered by warranty Thumbs Up

I have the same board in one of my systems and it has worked perfectly for over a year now, even with my G3258 overclocked to 4.3ghz 24/7. I am sure it will serve you well for a good long time Cool
