Hello folks. First time here, not quite sure if this is the right place to post, but I'll cut to the chase. Recently had a gaming PC built, friend from work gave me the build and was going to build it initially but plans fell through, so I had a local place do it. Didn't realize that the motherboard, a Z590M Phantom Gaming 4, doesn't support wifi without the use of a USB adapter. Been trying to do my own research, but it hasn't been the easiest, so I figured I'd just ask here; are there any specific USB Wifi Adapters that are compatible with the Z590M Phantom Gaming 4? Or is any adapter compatible? Thanks in advance.

This board has a M.2 Wifi Key E slot.

There are different controller types on the market
1. Wifi/BT, where Wifi goes via PCI Express, and Bluetooth via USB
These cards will work om this board.
2. Wifi/BT, where both go via CNVIO

These 2 cards definitely work
M.2: CNVio and CNVio2*
*Support up to Intel AX201, Intel AX211 is not supported
This is copied from the FAQ.
Look at system interface type, then you know what I'm talking about.
There are also new cards like AX211, also CNVio2, but they only work on 600 series.
Reason is that on Intel boards, part of the MAC address is conencted to the CPU.
The Wi-Fi(PCIe), BT(USB) cards, M.2 key E, work on all boards, AMD as well as Intel.
With Antennas's you have them as 3DBi, 6DBi, 9DBi and so on, the difference is that 9Dbi has a lot more coil surface, so better reception, and transmisson quality

-------------
Kind Regards
